3 March, 1556. To the collectors of the poor of St. Towlle St. Olave parish. To my cozen Agnes Wyntropp2 my cheyne of gold. To Adam Purvye my lands etc. in Barking co. Essex and to his heirs forever. To Lettys Purvye his wife my bracelett of gold etc. To myn ante Sharpe. My cosen John Paecock haberdasher and Adam Purvey latherseller, citizens of London, they to be overseers and executors together. Residue equally to Mathew Owtred and Agnes Owtred my brother and sister when 21 or at their marriage. The curate of St. Olaves Southwark a witness 10 March 1556. Probat 8 March 1556 to John Pecock and Ade Purvey.

P. C. C., 8 Wrastley; Muskett, 40. Muskett states that the exact relationship of Dorothy Acton to the Sharpe and Winthrop families β€œis as yet unknown.” He conjectures that the maker of the will was the daughter of Thomas Acton or Ecton of Barking, co. Essex, and Ellen his wife, who married for her second husband Richard Owtred.

Agnes Sharpe, who married the second Adam Winthrop. He died in 1562 and she married William Mildmay of Barnes in Springfield, co. Essex. Muskett, 25, 41, 42, 47.
