Originally distributed as a handbill, this anonymous appeal to ship pilots of Delaware by the "Committee for Tarring and Feathering" was reprinted in the Massachusetts Gazette; and the Boston Post-Boy and Advertiser on 1 December 1773. It details the injustice of the tea tax and implores the pilots to stop a British ship laden with tea before it reaches Philadelphia.
