My deare wife,

albeit I am now comminge towardes thee, yet that thou mayest knowe that I am allwayes mindfull of the, I would take euery opportunitye, of confirminge thy good assurance of it, desiringe to offer some such refreshinge to thy minde, as may prepare a cheerefull countenance for my welcome to the. I prayse God, we are all in health, and prosper well in our affaires hetherto: and doe hope in the Lo: for a safe returne. Let vs labour to gett a thankfull heart to him for his free Loue and constant bounty towards vs and ours. I heare by this bearer J: Go:2that thy selfe and all ours are in health and I prayse our good Lo: for it, but thy Letter miscaried by the waye. Thy Loue in my kinde welcome shall supplye all: The Lo: blesse thee and thy little lammes and send vs a comfortable meetinge at Groton and at last to meet in our Fathers house in heauen: farewell my sweet wife. Thy faithfull lovinge husband
