Before 1619. deare brother

as before I was desirous to craue the helpe of your prayers so now also I desire you not only to be thanckful to the lord for hearing vs and so graciously answering our desire but that you would still continue to beg of him that I may walke worthy of these mercies vouchsafed to me and that it may please him to guide me by his holie spirit that the enemie preuaill not against me oh brother you haue heard of that lamentable accident but you haue only heard of it but methinckes I haue seen it with my eyes and it doth much affect me to thincke often of that saying let him that thincketh he stands etc yet I know that the gifts and calling of god are without repentance and whome he euer loues he loues for euer but yet her former confidence was well grounded as farr as I could see and her latter feare with those strange conceits she had will not out of my mynde and methinckes I shall now feare my selfe, for anie thing that another hath done I perswade my selfe it was a fault in me that I did so not before for as much as we all haue in vs the seedes of all sinnes and did not god restraine it the soyle is too fruitful I am now a little bestraited for tyme good brother I hartely comende my loue to you and to my sister and all yours and what good my poore prayers can bring shall not be wanting your euer louing sister

I pray remember our duties to my father and mother and commend me to my sisters and excuse me to my mother for not wrighting to hir this weeke my husband commends him to you and to my sister
