Thursday Augt. 10 1758 Dear Eunice,

I expect to get some Velvet, that is I expected when I began this Letter, but my expectations are disappointed thro the the ---- of a woman (nothing uncommon); you must do as well as you can; dont buy a Bridle for I purpose to get one here. You must take another Money Oath1 before Justice Dyar & send me as soon as possible. Enquire how you can keep a horse winter & Summer. Mr. Hurd is come back & has almost perswaded me to take a trip to Halifax. If so you must go, if not I have promised to convoy you to Lancaster next Supr. Ct. Worcester, look in your Almanack. You know Who sends the inclos'd. I can't as yet find any thing that will do for a Saddle Cloath. If you have contrived let me know. Yrs. as usual,
