RTP Paine, Eunice
Boston July 28th 1758 Dear Eunice,

I write this to send at Random, not having any opportunity in View. I have bought for yr. Ladyship a Crimson Velvet Sidesaddle most curiously wrought with Gold Trimmings, much more becoming a Lady of quality than a wood nymph. I bought it pretty cheap, & have spent much time in looking a Boat to bring it down to you. It wants to be titivated partly by yr. self & partly by a sadler, wch. you can get done at Weymouth I believe better than here. The Covring may be taken off when you send it to the sadlers. I wish you would contrive to get that machine to Boston, & if you know of any Boat coming to Boston desire them to call for yr. Saddle for I can't spend time looking a Boat. Yrs. &c.

R. T. PAINE

Sprague says the dryness you felt in yr. hands is the Natural Effect of the Salt & that it will do you good used Moderately & persisted in.
