To Henry Darrall and Samuel Downe
RTP Darrall, Henry Downe, Samuel
Bath-Town. Aprill 18th. 1752 Gentlemen,

By Inquiry I find that there is 10 or 15 per Ct. Odds between the Blls. that us'd to be made, & the present full Gauge, wth. regard to their Stowings so that a Vessell that would carry 700 Blls. will now Carry but 600 & a few, wch. is a thing that much perplexes me, for I fear that no Vessell can be got to carry 650 Blls. in the Hold but what will want much Lighterage. Wth. Regard to wch. Gentlemen I only can say that I will bring home as much Pitch as will any ways Anser, & leave it with you to send the biggest Vessell you can get that will draw the least Water.

person

& please to send me a Licence to bring home a Deck Load. £150 to be sent.
