Susan Goodier, PhD, is a historian and writer who focuses on fascinating women, especially women of color, once left on the margins of the historical record. Her current project, supported by a fellowship at the Massachusetts Historical Society, is a biography of Louisa Jacobs, the daughter of Harriet Jacobs, author of Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl.
