MHS Members and Honorary Fellows are cordially invited for an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, spotlight talks, and seasonal entertainment.

In 1773, Boston was on the verge of revolution and people had conflicting viewpoints. The Dye is cast explores the perspectives of six individuals by looking at their social, business, spiritual, and family networks. MHS Members are invited to join us at a special reception featuring libations, hors d’oeuvres, and pop-up performances to open the exhibition!

MassArt at 150: Tradition & Innovation honors the ten-year partnership between the MassArt Illustration Department and the venerable Handel + Haydn Society, and recognizes 150 years of art, design and innovation by MassArt alumni.

On Thursday, April 13, the MHS welcomes Young Patron Members to join us for a fun-filled evening. Enjoy an assortment of libations and nibbles inspired by the MHS collections in the historic Dowse Library. Staff experts will be on hand to share fascinating tales about treasures from the collection which celebrate more than 200 years of food and drink in Boston.

Back by popular demand, let’s celebrate the holidays together with libations, hors d’oeuvres, and a festive and historic program. This special event is available for Members and Honorary Fellows, plus a guest.

Woods, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of American Ancestors/NEHGS, will be joined by Catherine Allgor, President of the Massachusetts Historical Society, for further Q&A with Nathaniel Philbrick. He will answer your questions about his inspirations, research, and process behind writing Travels with George and his other works of American history.
