Deare Mother,

My duty remembred to you etc. havinge this oppertunity to write I thought it my Duty to Acquaint you with what hath befell us hitherto: it hath pleased god to give vs a very speedy and safe passage to Quinipiack: we were but thre daye goeing thither the lord was pleased to watch ouer vs also when others slept in the night when we were runinge rigt into great (though vnknowen) danger. the lord in mercy make vs truely thankfull to him, that so he may be pleased to continue his Faviour to vs. I have resceved much kindness from Mrs. Eaton and Mrs. Davenport. I know not what else to write to you, but disiringe you would be mindfull of me in your prayers, which is the greatist good you can doe for me I rest I pray present servis to Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Fitch my love to my brothers. Your Dutyfull Sonne
