According to the power which was committed to Mr. Nowell and Mr. Mahue aboute my accompt with Mr. Dillingham,2 they have taken much paynes (which I thankfully acknowledge) and have sett mee in a fayer way to make a full end for my owne perticuler. And by reason of Edward Dillinghams importunitie to have all things ended betweene him and Mrs. Dillingham disceased: that hee might (as it is meete) have that in his owne hand which is due to him by his brothers will; the Commissioners have therfor appoynted a meeting at Meadford, vppon the 3d day of the next weeke to that end: I have therfore made bould at this time (as I thought it my dutie) to acquaint your worships, that Mrs. Dillingham (in her lifetime) did acquaint Mr. Dudly with her mind aboute many things betwixt herselfe and Edward Dillingham (which will need his presence very much) and did rely vppon his direction and counsell; and entreat his help thearin (when as it should have beene ended by Arbitrators of their owne chusing:) I am therfore bould to thinke that I am not troblesome to your worships; nor offencive in the least kind vnto any; if I shall entreate thus much; that Mr. Dudly may bee desired to joyne with Mr. Nowell and Mr. Mahue in this behalfe, and if hee cannot bee at leaisure the 3 day of the next weeke; the soonest day may bee appoynted (in regard of Mr. Dillingham) which will suite with his occasions. These few lines in hast are only to salut you and yours and to let you know that I shall neuer be vnmindfull of you in my best affectiones as 385allso to certefy you that I have receaued no letter from you or your Sonn though I haue written to you both by Mr. Clarke a minister who I understand is safely ariued with Mr. Rogers as allso of the boy which I sent you, who I desyre may giue you good contentment I expected to haue hard how you would haue the mare disposed of which acording to your appoyntmend I gaue your sonn whether to be sent you or sould for your vse and to whom you would haue the mony payd I haue yet kept hir vntill I might know your determination therin as I wrote to your sonn and expected now his answare Blessed be our good God we all heare inioy our healthes in some competent manor though accompined with noe smale trobles whear of I doubt not but you will hear at large by others it is the portion that the Lord hath ordayned for his in this life who in his superabundant goodnes turneth all thinges to the best of his euen so be it so in the rembrance of myne and my wiues best and intire loue to you and all our good frindes with you remembred as if I should perticularly name them I commend you all to the blessed guidance of the Allmighty and rest Your euer most assured loving frind and brother
