Stuart of Stratfield Turgisse in Com: South: hant: Informed that one Tho: Moreton late of Swallowfield in Com: Wilt: one of the Attorneys of about vj yeares since, did combine with one Tho: Wigge, and certified this capias of 100 li. and after about a yeare the said Wigge dyed, supposed to be made awaye by the said Moreton, and one Edwardes who was layd in prison for it, but Moreton fledd.1

The humble Peticion of John Hankin and Anne his wife

Sheweth vnto your honor that whereas Thomas Partridge late of Capell in the County of Suffolk yeoman dyed in May last past seized of diuerse landes and Tenementes in the said County or els where beinge houlden of the Kinges Majesty by Knightes seruice in Capite leaueinge Elizabeth Partridge and Mary Partridge his Cosins within age And an office hath bene had hereof before the Escheator of the said County which was taken virtute officii whereby his Majesty is intituled to the wardshipp of the body and Landes of the said Mary and Elizabeth But your peticioners beinge the father in law and mother of the said wardes beinge poore persons not knowinge what they ought to haue done in this Case haue hetherto neglected to peticon your honor in this case

May it therefore please your honor to graunt to your peticioners the wardshipp of the bodys and Landes of the said Elizabeth and Mary and they shall compound with his Majesty for the same. And shall dayly pray etc.
