Sir Thomas Barnardiston, son of Sir Thomas and Mary (Walsing­ham) Barnardiston. He married (1) Elizabeth Hanchet and (2) Ann Bigrave. One of his sisters, Anne, married William Clopton, of Liston, co. Essex, and one of his daughters, Ann, married Sir William Clopton of Kentwell Hall, Melford, co. Suffolk. Suffolk Institute of Archaeology, Proceedings, IV. 133–136.
