Flagg, James RTP
Boston 6th Augt. 1772 Dear Sir,

Your favour1 by Capt: Cobb I recd: but being engaged out of Town prevented my complying with your request.

I have been into Mr. Heads2 just now, with out square, rule or compass have only taken a slight sketch of the Alcove & cut it with Scissars which is inclosed.

The room is double Corniced with proper breaks over the Key stone of the Arch. A large OG on the outer edge, a Blank about three inches, then a Small OG—another Blank—three inches & a bead round the Corner. As I have no Book, & am in a hurry just going on board for the Eastward, have forgot all terms of Architecture—but hope you will find it out from the inclosed & Excuse this incoherent Scrawl work. I am with due Esteem Your most Hum. Servt:

JAS. FLAGG
