Gould, John RTP
Boston 26th Septemr: 1769 Sir,

I have receiv'd your Letter dated 23d Septemr. for Mr: McWhorter, acquainting that Mr. Laughton has attach'd Mr. R. Goulds Interest in the Taunton Lands. This attachment will be no hindrance in the disposal of the Mine Farm to Mr. McWhorter, as Mr. Laughton is willing to comply with any thing that is reasonable. Mr: Townsend & Mr. Laughton are both willing to bear their proportions of the Balance due from Mason.

You'l be so kind as to Cast the Interest that has arisen on the Balance of the Execution & Messs. Townsend & Laughton are to pay one third part thereof, you'l observe the proportion between them is as 33£ to 200£ as the Wood Lott which Mr. Laughton is concern'd in was apprais'd at the first sum & the Mine Farm at the Latter.

I would proportion this myself did I know the exact Balance due on the Execution, but I do not know it, & Mr. Townsend likewise chooses you should do it.

I doubt not of your adjusting this matter directly that Mr. McWhorter may have his Deeds Executed & am Your most hum Servant
