Lancaster March the 28 1757 Sr.,

I Rec'd yours1 by my Brother Abijah, but have not Time by this Conveyance to answer your Quære or to write to Mr. Prat. I shall be in Town in about three weeks & I believe it will be as well to Consult Mr. Prat upon your Quæres as to write to him. I should be glad you would go to the Clerks office of the Supr. Court & take a Copy of the Judgment Harper vs Darby which you will find among the Records for Worcester County September 1752,2 be exact as to the Sum recovered both as to the Debt & Costs & also how the Plt. & Deft. are called for I want to Sue the Judgment & send it me by the first Conveyance. I have Inclosed a Note of Hand for Thayer to Sign & will send the Execution as soon as I can send to Worcester for it but make him sign it directly. I am Sr. yr. hble. Serv.

Lancaster March 28. 1757 Brother Treat,

I have Inclos'd a Note to you which I Desire you would sue as soon as possible to our May Court, & Desire he may be taken with a single writt for he is not Honest, he has a brother lives in Town at the North end, but I have Lately heard Gilburt was at Hull, he is a Cooper by trade, & he was an Ensign in the Army last year. Pray Catch him as soon as possible.

Katharine send her Love to you & Intends to wait upon you in about three Weeks, I have nothing Remarkable to acquaint you of at present I am your frind &c &c

P.S. It is possible you may find Gilburt &c trying for a commission, dont let him nor his brother know any thing of the Matter untill you seize him.

I hear you have been better worse & better again. May the best state remain. Why do you not let me know what things you shall want for a summers Campain. If I may not know the things at least let me know the value that so I may provide. You desired me not to sell those Jewells1 till hearing from you. They will fetch but 36s pr. oz. The other things I have not enquired. Let me hear from you. George sends compliments to you. I have thought of carrying you there as soon as the29 Weather &c. permits. I hear Nothing from the Hingamites. I hate to sue you know why. Tell em all how do you. Yr. Brother &c.
