To Elizabeth Poole
RTP Poole, Elizabeth
Boston Novr. 3 1760 Mrs. Pool,

I have taken a great deal of Pains to have my affairs with you settled but I think it is in vain to try any more. You are sensible you have lived very quietly in the house, pay no Rent, & I suppose recieve Rent for the other part of it, & all this while my fathers' creditors lay out of their money. I have wrote to Mr. Salter repeatedly to assist you in this affair but I hear nothing from him. Mr. Ferguson has paid a part of the ballance you owe me on acct. when the rest will come I cant tell, however as I act for others it behoves me to do something. I shall direct the house to be sold very soon to the highest bidder & hope you'll not take it amiss. Yr. hbe. servt.,
