Mr. Monk has lately made an offer for the house, & has desired I would write you on the Subject, he says he will give £50 that he will pay £20. down, & the remainder the 1st. January.
I think this worth more, and am confident, that if a fleet, & any considerable Number of Troops arrive home from Canada this fall, it will sell for half as much more, however you'll please to advise me what answer to give him, & in case you sell the house, whether you purpose to make any provision for Mrs. Pool & her child, as she is afraid of being turn'd out of doors, wch. would be terrible, as she is far advanced in her Pregnancy, & not able to support herself & children with

Homer, acquainting you of a proposal made by Mr. Monk for purchasing the house, since which Mr. Wenman has been with me, & offered £60, to pay half in 3, & the other half in 6 months, who I make no doubt will be very punctual, you'll please to let me have your answer in regard to these proposals, & also what you propose to do for Mrs. Pool, & her child, or Either of them.
