Bowman, Jonathan RTP
Pownalboro’ March 7. 1783 Sir,

I now inclose you a Notification of the libelling of the Estates of several Absantees as I have not been able to obtain the Bounds of several Parcels of Salt Marsh belonging to Waterhouse, in the Town of Newcastle, and therefore was obliged to omit them in the Libel. Carltons real Estate has all been taken in Execution to satisfy some Demands some of his Friends had against him. They commenced Actions against him at our last Court and recover’d Judgment, so that there will be nothing for the Commonwealth, if their Proceedings were legal.

I am, sir, with Respect your very hble. Servt. Jona. Bowman

RC ; internal address: “Hon Robt. Treat Paine Esq.”
