Freeman, Samuel RTP
Falmouth Decr. 3, 1781 Dear Sir,

The Libels your Honor Sent me, some time since, have been exhibited to our Court—& the Court have continued them to next Term. I should be exceedingly obliged to you to inform me by a Line whether in your opinion or practice in other Counties, they must be further continued or whether (no body appearing to defend) they may be called out next Term. I wish to know, because the Law is here differently construed.

I shall send them to the Printers next Week.

I am with due respect Your most obedient & very huml. Serv. Saml. Freeman

RC ; addressed: “To The Honb. Robert Treat Paine Esq. Boston Free Saml. Freeman”; endorsed.
