In complyance of yours of 17th. Inst.1 herewith send by Mr. Allen your Croke Charles2 which was brought here by Coll. Andrews with my Books thro mistake. Should have Sent the Same by Col. Leonard junr.3 when here at Our Genral Assembly but had not the pleasure of Waiting on that Gentleman at my House.

Oliver Arnold (1726–1770) was a prominent lawyer in Providence, R.I., where he opened a law office in 1762. He was elected attorney general of Rhode Island in 1766 (NCAB, 9:457).
