This you'l receive by Capt. Osborne who I have desired to leave a Certificate with you of the price he gave for the Lumber he bout. for Mesr. Rogers & Blanchard & likewise to declare on Oath that Mr. Caldwell reffused to supply me with any more Lumber, unless I wd. give him a better price for it, wch: I Reffusing to do, the sd: Capt. Osborn Immedl.373got the Lumber I wanted to Compleat my Ships from Mr. blank, & that the same was all pickt Stuff & Equal to that Supply'd by the sd" sd: Caldwell, wch. he bought at, or about, the same price I was to allow Messrs. Jno. Adams, Jno: McWhorter, Wm. Brown & the sd: Caldwell. You'l please to be as particular on this matter as possible, I have made Choice of young Coll. Richmond, & do Suppose Mr. Caldwell will chuse Mr. Baleys, pray ask sd. Richmond wether he will attend, it will not take up half an hours time to determine the matter, you'l let me know the Exact time the Gentn. will attend, as it will be a great loss to me, if I shd. be detaind there when I come up, as my Business here requires every Moment of my time. I am in great haste Sr. Your Fr'd & hble. Servt.
