Halifax the 29th Sepr. 1759 Mr. Payne Sir,

I Recd. your kind favour per Capt. Jones but had by a Mistake Omited to give you the notes to Mr. Nesbitt in time, but have receiv'd of David Belcher seven pounds which have given Capt. Jones for you, & he says he will pay more in a Month or Six Weeks & if he is as good as his word it will in My Opinion be the best way of getting your Money. Mr. Nuttage promis'd me the Money this day but have fail'd. You may be assure'd they both shall be Sue'd if they do not pay before next Court. I am Sir your most Obedt. Humbl. Servt.
