Robert Treat Paine Papers, Volume 2
I didn't receive yours of the 27th Ult.1 'till last Saturday otherwise I might have let you had an answer thereto sooner than this may come to your hands. Your Guns &c. all lie here, Save nine Guns Mr. Torrey (of Abington) sent his Team for last Monday. I doubt the rest cannot be mov'd 'till the Ways are Settled. As to Isaac Beal's affair, I had some Oar of him A.D. 1745. but have paid him therefor long ago, & he is now in my Debt. If he is Indebted to the Estate, he must pay it as he can, as he never left any thing in my hands on that acct. Yr. hume. Servt.
