Willard, Abel RTP
Lancaster December the 27 1757 Sr:

I have the disagreable news to tell you that Sawyer (who Indorsed the Note that I sent to you) & the Deft. came to to me this Night & after a Conference held about the Matter till one a Clock in the Morning came to a Settlement. Therefore I desire you would be so good as to send me the Note back again & proceed no farther. Send me also a Power from your Sister Eunice for I have sent out the writ against Baldwin which I dont expect will come to so unlucky an Issue as this has done. I mean as to disappoint you of further fees. I am yours &c.

ABEL WILLARD
