Weymouth Monday Night past ten o clock March 7? 1757 Dear Brother,

You have often blamed me for omitting oppertunities of informing you of my Circumstances in life and declare yourself willing to share Even in my Woes and since you are so Generous Grattitude demands that I shou'd remit Even the smallest Prosperous adventure. It is therefore with the Greatest pleasure that I inform you of a very agreeable visit I paid last week in town which 'tho it was attended with a great deal of fatigue yet has I think proved Beneficial to my health. I left the Town & all my Business Sans Ceremonie & at a very unseasonable hour for an invalid; but got no hurt that I'm sensible of. I like the medicine so well that I wou'd willingly repeat the Dose if twas Convenient but patiently Wait my turn to be Served.

You gave me Encouragement to hope for a Considerable visit from you soon, the Day when you did not Name: so I'm at uncertainties. If you Cou'd determine something certain about my Gown before you Come I shou'd be Glad as how it Can be got & where for I Grow Weary of this Confinement sinse tis not best.

Our acquaintance here are all poorly but I hope none will be sick. I send you Services Complements & all proper regards to distribute as your Discretion directs. I'm tir'd in the hands & Confused in my Brain so must suddenly Conclude Wishing you a good nights rest & Easy Dreams from yrs &c.

E. PAINE

There was a Stranger seen to ride our road Yesterday just before meeting time with a light Blue Coat on trim'd wth. Black & Black Jackett & Breaches who in Every particular so nearly resembled You that it had been taken for granted, had he not sat very up Right on horse Back and betray'd himself by taking his hat of several times to those who pass'd him as if he saw them.
