Altho' you was Not Kind Enough to Return an Answer to my former yet I Gladly Embrace this oppertunity, hoping herby to Extort a Line or two from your Legal hand which will be a Cordial of inestimable worth, and Strengthening Plaster to support me through this frigtfull Carrying Place. As Every Body is fond of News, So I Shall Baulk your Curiossity in this Respect. However our Present Situation is about 60 Miles above Albany where we have Built a Fort and Pushing on towards the other End to Build another to Leave the Sick and Part of the Stores to flee too in time of Tribulation. It is the Agreament of a Counsel of War to Send to the Bay for More Help, and at their Coming I Expect to See Esq. Willard at the Head of a Regiment. Helth happily Reins amongst us. Lost 4 by Death and one James Clarck from Lancaster Now at the Poynt of Death. A young fellow from N. York, Latly Fractured his arm by Carelessly Discharging his Gun, which is Now Amputated. Another had his Thigh Broak by a Waggon Wheel who is Sence Dead. We have ben here 10 days which has Much Dispirited Many of the Men. Winter being hard by Should be glad if you would get My Blue turn'd Coat at Harvard and Send if Possable. Please to Give my Senceer Regards to all Lancaster friends and Hearty Compliments to Capt. Levi and Sr. Abel your Competitor and Accept of Much Love from your Affectionate Friend and Huml. Ser.,
