Tent at, Albany Jun: the 16th. 1755Wednesday Dear Friend,

It is with the Utmost pleasure that I Now Employ my hand and pen, for the distance of place interposing betwixt us Causes me to address you in this Manner, to Gratify a Desier inherent in my Mind, Much owing to the freedom you have hertofore indulged me with an earnestly hope they will be acceptable to you, if not agreable to your Extensive Mind, but herin intend to give you a short Scetch of present affairs but not much News to titelate your Auricular Glands. However Set away from Worcester the Next Morning after I left Lancaster in Company with 9 besides myself, Arrived at Albany the Next Sabath, about twelve at Noone where I have Continued ever Sence Much Fatigued with Business by Reason of Traviling on foot Seven Miles to Visit the Companys Encampt above the City, Many being Exercise'd with a Disentery tho' I hope, None, Dangerous. Orders is given, that we Shall March tomorrow Morning, for that Dier Carrying place there to Stop and fortifie so that we are Now in great Confusion in filing off for the Business, being in haste Must just Enform you I Enjoy a good State of Bodily Helth and faith Large Enough to Move Mountains. Sr. please to give my Kindest Regards to all friends and hope you will Accept of Much from your well-wisher: Sencere Friend and Very Humble Sert.,
