Boston 19th. May 1753 Capt. Paine,

As you are bound to N Carolina should be glad, you would Collect Mr. Darrall part of the money due on Shephards note which is Eight Pounds Eleven shills. & three pence, Proclamation Money also the money due to said Darrall on Snoads note being Thirty four pounds Nineteen shills. and Twopence and improve the same, as you shall think most advantagious to the Estate of said Darrell. If you cannot manage the affair your self leave the note in Some attorney's hands, and draw in my favour, on him for the money he receives on said notes, and Perswade him to Accept it Conditionally, and remitt me said Order per first Conveyance. If you receive the money your self after Deducting the Charges you may be at, and your Commission for receiving it, return the Net proceeds to me or my Order.
