Boston Feb: 18. 1748/9 Dear Brother,

I design for the future to Set you a good Exemple of writing by every opertunity tho' my paper be dirty & my pens bad, and my haste wont admit of my geting more proper Materals for the purpose. You must excuse my Shortness at this time & accept thesse lines in Love as they are write.

Pray favour me with a Sight of your Mecelany or the hermit if you have it Single. And with it pray Send me the book you have of Mother's viz. the Gazeteer's Companion.1

Cousin Jonny2 waits & in haste I Remain your Loving Sisster,
