Boston Octr. 20. 1746 Dear Brother,

I have just Recd. a Letter1 from you wc. was very acceptable to me, for I have been much Concern'd for fear you were Sick and Shou'd have sent to you if I Could have had an Opertunity.

We have Labour'd under many difficultys Since I Saw you last My father has been very ill again, he was taken Last Wednesday evening with a voilent Cholick which held him till friday, and this day he has venturd down Stairs but is exceeding weak. Mother is much worse than She has been for a Long time and to add to these afflictions Cato is Laim with a Sore in his arm which has been breeding ever Since this day fortnight, and Last wednessday it was Lanch't. He is unable to do any work and for a Long time was in great pain. The Cause of the Sore was pricking his arm with a pin and their has been great danger of Losing his arm. The Rest of the family are in usuall health and we all want to See you very much. Father is much Concern'd that you have no wood and wou'd have you Come down, we shall Send the horse this affernoon or in the morning if we have any Opertunity for their is a Nesessity of your Coming or Sending your Linnin for Wednesday is our Wassh.

Father Says that if you Cant Get Wood you must apply to the president or Tutors to know what you shall do.
