Friday 30th.

Mild and clear. Office, and the usual record.

I made up my Arrears very bravely at the Office today and put myself somewhat at ease respecting my occupations. Then to the house for the sake of paying some visits due. Succeeded only in one but made good progress in Alcestis.

After dinner I resumed the Catalogue of coins and read Burr which interests me very much. His character is worth analyzing.

Resumed the examination and revisal of my Lecture, in which I put some new things and took out some old ones. The great obstacle is in it’s length and yet I cannot well shorten it. The danger rather lies on the other side. Up until late.
