Morning at the Office. The weather which had been cold and chilly cleared up at noon. I attended to the papering of my room which is the last repair I put to it. I now have only to furnish it. My time was in some measure wasted in attendance upon two Auctions where I was desirous of obtaining some things but did not succeed. I rode out to Medford with Mr. Brooks. Found Abby as usual.
