The Infante Luis Antonio Jaime de Borbón y Farnesio of Spain (1727–1785), the youngest brother and sometimes rival of Charles III, king of Spain, died at Arenas de San Pedro, Ávila, on 7 Aug. He was created archbishop and cardinal of Toledo at age nine but later renounced his religious responsibilities and became the 12th Conde de Chinchón in 1761 (Salvador Miranda, Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church, Biographical Dictionary, Florida International University Libraries, www2.fiu.edu/~mirandas/cardinals.htm).
