John Adams

These two portraits depict John Adams at two different times of his life.  The portrait by Benjamin Blyth was painted circa 1766, when Adams was establishing himself as a lawyer. The portrait by Gilbert Stuart Newton depicts Adams about 1815, during his retirement years.
