A three pound cannonball dug up near the Clark House in Lexington, Mass.
Since cannons were not reportedly used during the battle (or skirmish) on Lexington Green during the morning of 19 April 1775, this cannonball might have related to other circumstances of the day--ammunition was moved around, and there are also accounts of cannon being fired during the afternoon, when the British soldiers returned through Lexington (after going to Concord), on their way back to Boston.
