    Boston merchant John Rowe's daily diary details the progress of the trial against Capt. Thomas Preston, as well as where Rowe dined and with whom. The verdict is recorded on 29 October (image 5 of the sequence). Rowe also recorded his initial reactions to the Boston Massacre in his diary on 5-6 March 1770 and mentions the trial of the soldiers in November.
