He captures the raw reflections of many witnesses, including John Danbrooke, Jedidiah Bass, Thomas Wilkinson, Josiah Simpson, Nathaniel Fosdick, Samuel Hemenway, Joseph Helyer, Nicholas Ferritter, Shubael Hewes, Dr. Richard Hyrons, William Hunter, David Michaelson, John Short, Captain John Goldfinch, Benjamin Davis Jr., and James Thompson.
