[ This description is from the project: Boston Massacre ]

Gregory Townsend's letter to his brother Jonathan states a fact that is just as true today as it was on 15 March 1770: the "late disturbance" on King Street in Boston is "impossible to come at the truth." Townsend expresses his belief in Preston's good character and his confidence that the captain would never have ordered soldiers to fire on the inhabitants of Boston. The letter closes with mention of barreling and sending cider.
