These together with the Buildings Stan=
-ding by a Straight & level Road and
the beautifull Groves on the Eminen=
-ces on the West afford a most delight=
-full prospect from the Front of Mr Schuylers House--
on the back part of the House is a
large neat Garden built partly for Orna=
-ment & partly for Convenience. at
the back of the Garden is a prodigious
high Hill covered with Woods the
House hath a Sufficiency of outhouses
on the South & on the North at a little
distance are his Barns Sufficient
to accomodate his Farm which by
accounts is three Miles across in
fine the Scituation of this Gentlemans
Dwelling both for convenience and
Please is the most best that ever I
beheld--     On the East of his House
at the Distance of about 3/4 of a Mile
he hath two Parks in which are about
150 or 160 Deer but I could get no
Sight of them as they never came out
of the Woods ecept in the Night--

Mr Schuyler was descended from the
Family of Schuylers which rendered so
much good Service to N England as me-
-ntioned in Hutchinsons History there
are many of the Same Family at Alba-
-ny now and at New York. this Gentle-
-mans Grandfather in but tolerable
