I was a Member of a Regimental
Court Martial, we we had but one
Prisoner braught before us and as his
Crime was Small his Punishment
was accordingly in proportion---
At Night I went on Piquet Guard.

1776] Sunday. In the Afternoon
I attended on Divine Service under
the Trees-- God hath no regard
to Place-- The Priest thaught
himself to be Something Great--

I spent the Evening on board the
Nantucket Vessell, one Capt Beard
Commander--
18th.[June 1776] I went
on Fatiegue at
Powles
Hooke, I had the Command, &.
the Men behaved well-- in
the Afternoon Capt
Beard his Brother
& Mr Chase a
Passenger came up
to visit me in the Evening, it
rained hard that they could not go
home for fear of the Centuries, I there-
fore went on board with them &
conti-
nued all Night -- we were very Sociable.
