I did not keep a detailed
memo. of the ships that we
looked over - the only one we
boarded was the "Pennsylvania,"
which was only slightly damaged.
The heat blast blackened paint
or in a few places blistered it -
a few fires were started - the
pressure was the force which did
the damage - It blew over
stacks & crushed or twisted
super-structures - Those ships
within 500 yds. were severely
twisted in their structures - Those
up to 1000 yds. less so but
still damaged - over 1000 & up to
1500 there was still damage -
from 1500 - to 2000 yds it seemed
to be mostly the heat blast
