[September 28, 1776, cont.] arm Slep none to spake
of at night I thought
it was hard times my
arm was near as big as
my thy 29 [September 1776] S. Day I thot
my arm must be Cut of
but Livd in hope it was
bathd & Easd it some Slep prity
well at nite 30 [September 1776] a bath & poltis
was aplied to it which abated the
Swelling wonderfully I though ye
Lord called aloud to me in
Causing ye Swelling to abate
in such a manner
