Sir
Such is the Calamitous Scitutation of this
City, that we
find ourselves obliged by a Deputation from our Board, to
entreat you to Consent to the Lieutenant Governor's proposal
of placing the Stamps in one of the ships under your Command
This Board will be Extremely Glad to
meet you at their Chamber in the morning at nine
of cocke, to Receive your Determination, on this Subject
and we hope in Tenderness to the safety of the --
Inhabitants, and the publicks Repose,
you'l favour
us with your presence and assistance --
