its deck heaved & much of its
superstructure pushed over seemed
even harder hit than the
Nevada - It is difficult to
describe the damage- There was
none below the water-line-
There was little on the side
of the ship away from the
blast- The heat wave could be
seen where it struck & the
angle at which it struck judged.
The pressure forced the decks
to heave down - the guns did
not seem hurt - of course there
was no power as no one had
been below - The trucks &
tanks in direct line took it hard-
