Dear Son,

I have engaged Wm. Hogg, Wm.
McLaan & Robt. Wirg who came on board Capt. Sanders
for six months certain & they are to have Six pounds a Month
& their food as they will inform you.

Mr. Waldo came home Last Fryday Night in good health by
whom I have your Letters and rejoyce to hear you are so
well in health and forward in your business. I hope
some very few that oppose the Settlements will be
wholly disappointed. Madam Oliver dyed this Morning.
Mr. Waldo's Sloop goes to Morrow by whom purpose to Send
you a Sheep. Your Mother is continually thinking of you
Longing for your Safe Return. Your Sisters tender their Love
to you. I shall Remember Mr. Noyes to whom give my
hearty Service to Capt. Giles & Lt. Martin. Capt. Sanders has a
half Barrell Rum for you. I shall not add Save to
Assure you thatt     I am your Loving
