This cabinet card depicts George Partridge Eaton (1865-1882). The inscription on verso reads: "For Lucy. George P. Eaton's Photo. Drowned. Jan. 7./82 in Charles river falling through the thin ice. A noble boy. 16 yrs & 6 mos. old. Had been in our school and family nearly 4 yrs. son of Lucien Eaton St. Louis Mo."
