Thomas Robie, a merchant in Marblehead, writes a letter in January 1770 to Richard Clark & Sons, merchants located in Boston. Robie reports that a quantity of tea (presumably obtained from the merchants in Boston) remains unsold and sounds skeptical that "any trifling package" could affect "the Fate of Empires".
