This document relates to Query 5 ("Its Cascades and Caverns?"), in Thomas Jefferson's book, Notes on the State of Virginia. The verso (page 2) of the drawn plan is covered with graphite which may have been used a means for Jefferson to copy the plan onto page 11 of the Notes on the State of Virginia [manuscript]. The size of the two plans are exactly the same. Page 3 of this document shows the residue which has rubbed off from the graphite on page 2.
