] [Letter of of Quincy to J. T. Hayward, Oct. 1841, submitted to the Editor by A. M. H. at a much later date. The letter contains very interesting factual reminiscences of Boston at the Revolution. The writer says "The Declaration of Independence was read by William Greenleaf (my father) then sheriff. Henderson was not sheriff till some years after."]2 p. (clipping)
